KIRKSVILLE, MO -- You may have noticed some construction going on at the corner of Jefferson and Baltimore Streets in Kirksville.

Codes & Planning Director Brad Selby said it is a convenience store and he believes it will be called Express Mart.

And yes, the place where the old u-pump awning once stood is now gone to make room for an open parking lot.

“We were pretty excited to see a business going in there because it had been a vacant corner for many years now,” Selby said. “And…it looks like they go it about halfway done.”

Selby said he is not sure when it will be finished, but he's guessing it will be sometime soon.
