LANCASTER, MO. -- Thursday, marked the one month anniversary since the new general manager took over at Tri-County Electric Cooperative

Jane Bahler-Hurt comes to the cooperative with an extensive utility background and more than 20 years of experience.

She's worked in both power supply and distributions co-ops.

She also has experience concentrated in finance and accounting.

Bahler-Hurt comes from a cooperative in southern Texas where she had about 40,000 thousand members. Now she has about 63-hundred and due to a smaller coverage area those cooperatives tend to have a problem with cash and revenue.

"Talking to all the existing employees and get their input on what on they think their issues are on the company," said Tri-County Electric Cooperative G.M. Jane Bahler-Hurt. "Also since I have a background in accounting and finance analyzing the financials to see how we can manage the best way we can possible."

Tri-County Electric Cooperative serves homes, farms and businesses in Adair, Schulyer, Scotland and portions of Macon, Putnam, and Sullivan counties in northeast Missouri.
