OTTUMWA, IOWA -- Another medical clinic will be opening its doors in Ottumwa in the coming weeks.
Pella Regional Health Center will be opening their brand new Ottumwa Medical Clinic to patients on September 10th.
On Tuesday, members of the media had a chance to tour the new facility, which is equipped with the latest medical equipment.
Pella Regional Health Center's CEO Bob Kroese told KTVO Tuesday morning that the new clinic is just another chance to expand the primary care base in southeast Iowa.
"We've been very fortunate almost from the very beginning in Pella to have a very strong primary care base; and we were informed that there was a real need for that in the Ottumwa area and in this region. We are expanding a great deal in this region, and we just felt it was a great opportunity to continue to expand our services in this area," Kroese said.
The new clinic is home to a full-time gynecologist, family practice physician and two mid-level providers.
