KIRKSVILLE, MO. -- The Kirksville Young Professionals organization seeks nominations for its "5 under 40" award. The award recognizes young professionals in the Kirksville community. It is sponsored by KVYP and KTVO.
To be eligible for nomination, the person must be: younger than 40 by Sept. 14, 2012, demonstrate dedication, excellence, and professional development in their career, and display a commitment to serving the community.
The nominations will be judged by a panel of community leaders that are not members of Kirksville Young Professionals.
The award recipients will be honored during the KVYP Fall Banquet on Oct. 25. Nominations are due by 5 p.m., Sept. 14.

Last year, the organization received 28 nominations for 18 young professionals. The 2011 winners were Ashley W. Young, Carolyn Chrisman, Erin Shaw, Heather Condon, and Mike LaBeth.
