NORTHEAST MO. -- ACT scores in the United States were released Wednesday, and for Iowa and Missouri high schools their scores look good compared to the national averages.
"We're pretty pleased with it anytime we're at or above the state average," said La Plata R-II Schools Superintendent Dr. Craig Noah. "That's kind of our measuring stick so to speak. We're pretty pleased with last year's numbers. While you're pleased with it you always want to continue to work harder and do better than that, but we're happy with it."
"We're up about one point across the board for all four subjects areas, and the composite score is like a 23.5 which is about two points higher than state average," said Kirksville High School Principal Randy Mikel.
