OTTUMWA, IOWA -- A tip leads police to two suspects accused of stealing a motorcycle.

According to the Ottumwa Police Department, a few days ago they received a report of a missing motorcycle; and the son of the owner of that big actually spotted it at a residence on Wildwood Drive. The son called police, who arrived on scene.

Sergeant Steve Kovacs with the Ottumwa Police Department told KTVO Monday afternoon that the suspects fled inside of the house.

“Upon arrival we observed three individuals that ran into the residence. They wouldn’t come out for a period of time, but after a while they did come out. We arrested two for possession of stolen property. Once they were taken into custody, we applied for a search warrant related to that stolen vehicle here at the residence,” Sgt. Kovacs said.

The accused, Joseph Bibby, 25 of Douds, Iowa and Michael Bibby, 26, have been charged with theft in the second degree. As of Monday evening, both bonded out of the Wapello County Jail, each bond was set at $5,000.
