SEDALIA, MO -- It was announced Monday that tickets to the August 19 auto races at the Missouri State Fair Speedway in Sedalia will be refunded.

Missouri State Highway Patrol spokesman Sgt. Collin Stosberg says one of the cars during Sunday night’s Battle of the Badges race came around a curve, drove through a fence and into a pit, striking five spectators.

One man from Columbia, Mo. and two women from California, Mo. were flown to area hospitals with serious injuries.

Two men from Columbia were treated at the scene. The car's driver was uninjured.

Ticket refund procedures are available on the State Fair’s website at www.mostatefair.com/refund-procedure
