NOVELTY, MO. -- Horses and their owners were strutting their stuff in Novelty, Mo. at the Knox County Pioneer Ranger Saddle Club Open Horse Show Saturday.

There were more than twenty classes to compete in including pleasure classes, game classes, and halter classes to name a few. There were three jackpot classes, where $50 was up for grabs.

Organizers said the show has had good attendance this year, with more than twenty competitors coming from Missouri and Iowa to participate. Organizers said it's a great, family affair.

"They learn, they're together, they're with other people who are interested in horses and networking. And it gives our kids something to be involved in," said Theresa Allen-Hamlin.

The Knox County Pioneer Ranger Saddle Club has been around since 1999. It offers horse training clinics to kids and adults and five to six horse shows a year.
