Alexander Ferguson pleaded guilty to one count of possession of child pornography.
ST. LOUIS -- A former Kirksville man has avoided prison time, after pleading guilty to one count of possession of child pornography.
Alexander Ferguson, 20, entered the plea in federal court in Saint Louis, after investigators found more than 130 videos containing child pornography on Ferguson's computer.
Many of the videos were located in a folder on the computer that allowed them to be shared by others on the internet.
Ferguson was living in Kirksville at the time of his arrest.
During a hearing, Ferguson was sentenced to five years probation after pleading guilty to the single count.
The arrest was a result of an investigation by the Kirksville Police Department's Computer Crime Lab.
