CENTERVILLE, IA -- Today marked the opening of the Appanoose County Republican Office.

The office will serve as the central hub for all Republican activities where the candidates can pick up signs to distribute and make calls to constiuents.

One big advantage of opening so soon is that the Republicans got a head start on the Democrats.

Republican volunteer Austin Harris said that it was "extremely important" that this office be opened before the Democrats opened their office since Appanoose County is "50-50" according to Harris.

Republican candidates include Larry Sheets for Iowa House, Ken Rozenboom for Iowa Senate, and John Archer for the 2nd District of the United States House.
