KIRKSVILLE, MO -- The dry drought conditions led to Adair County firefighters being called to a grass fire in Kirksville at about one Tuesday afternoon.

The fire happened in front of Lloyd Distributing Incorporated on Highway 11 South.

According to Adair County Sheriff Robert Hardwick, a utility pole outside the facility sparked, and it's believed that was the cause of the fire.

It took fire crews a matter of a few minutes to put it out.
