OTTUMWA, IOWA -- It would be nice if every weekend was like this.
Yesterday and today marked the 13th annual Iowa Sales Tax Holidays.
It benefits parents sending their kids back to school.
They can get most of their supplies and select clothing and shoes less than $100 completely sales tax free.
"We're taking big advantage of it. She's going into 2nd grade and over the summer she shot up like a weed so she's needing new clothes, new underwear, new socks, shoes, all of it so I'm taking big advantage of it," said Kara Davis, who was back to school shopping with her daughter Morgan at the Ottumwa Wal-Mart.
