KIRKSVILLE, MO -- With the elections being less then a week away, Adair County poll workers gathered this morning for training to make sure voter experiences are a positive one.

“Without those people, we could not even have the election. They are the ones that open the polls, assist you during the day, close the polls, and bring the results,” said Adair County Clerk Sandy Collop.

The poll workers spent the majority of the day learning how to operate the voting machines.  They also covered different scenarios that could possibly come up throughout the day to make sure everyone’s vote is accounted for.

Voter identification cards were mailed out across Adair County over the last few weeks. If something happened to your card or you have not received it, you can still vote with other forms of identification.

Election Day is next Tuesday across Missouri.
