The Klodt Barn was the eighth stop of the nine-stop tour. Brad and Gail Klodt’s barn was originally built in 1895 and they acquired it in the winter of 2001.

Brad said barns seem to be disappearing throughout the Midwest which made this tour even more momentous.

“So you don't get to see a lot of -- get to go inside and see them up close and personal -- so we've tried to leave this, the barn so it was basically the way it was built. We put it back up, we added some things but we tried to keep it true to 1895. So there’s a lot of, just a lot of craftsmanship you don't normally see that folks get to look at,” said Brad Klodt.

There was also a fiddler playing inside the Klodt Barn which was timely to when the barn was building adding to the ambiance.

Klodt added that the third annual J-40 Farm Crawl has been growing steadily each year.
