OTTUMWA, IOWA -- For all you creative kids grades K through 12 out there, listen up!

The Ottumwa Arts Council is accepting artwork through Wednesday for a children’s art exhibit at the Bridge View Center.

You can drop off your artwork at the Bridge View Center between 3 and 5 p.m.

2-D art must be no larger than 10x14 inches and ready to hang. 3-D art must be no larger than 12 inches in any direction.

Arts Council members are hoping to collect between 50 and 100 pieces of artwork.

“I think kids just are born loving the arts. It's when we grow up that we forget that we really like to do it -- not all kids but a lot of them do and it's important to just be creative and express yourself,” said Chris Abigt, Ottumwa Arts Council.

The artwork will be displayed throughout the Bridge View Center August 1 through September 10.

And for an even greater incentive, awards will be given out in various categories on August 9.
