ADAIR CO., MO -- Children and adults got an opportunity Saturday afternoon to get some good tips on a growing hobby.
Photography and nature enthusiasts participated in a nature photography workshop put on by the Missouri DNR.
The point of the workshop was to introduce people to their camera and functions and give composition rules to for their photos.
For the beginners in the class, the most important thing for them to do is just to go out and practice all types of different shots.
"Experiment, experiment a lot with what you're doing," said DNR Naturalist Emily Burke. "If you take a photo, and you think it look boring try another angle. Try taking the shot from a different place. There are lots of things you can do.
Burke added that one of the biggest mistakes beginners make is putting the subject of your photo right in middle.
She said you can do that by using different placements, because your photos will turn out a lot better .
