Thief busted after posting stolen goods on Craigslist

MACON, MO. -- Craigslist catches a Heartland man up in his alleged burglary scheme.

Police arrested Randall Perkins, 33, of Kirksville, Wednesday in connection with a burglary in Excello, Mo.

According to reports, Perkins posted five horse saddles for sale on Craigslist.

The victims noticed their stolen property posted in the ad and reported it to the Macon County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies then went undercover to purchase the items.

When Perkins met with the deputies at the Moberly Walmart, authorities made the arrest.

Perkins is charged with 2 counts of burglary in the 2nd degree, one count of stealing over $500 and one count of stealing under $500.
    
He was transported to the Macon County Jail and remains in custody on a $9000 bond.
