KIRKSVILLE, MO -- For Monday’s Facebook Story of the Day, you wanted to know what impact ethanol has on your vehicle.

First off, you need to make sure your tank is E-85 compatible.

General Motors says staying consistent with the type of gas you put into your tank is most important. "They say we shouldn't burn a tank of one, then a tank of the other and switch back and forth, because you may develop a problem with your computer doing that," said Jim Robertson's salesperson Randy Cowan.

Although ethanol may be a little cheaper, Cowan says it is not as efficient in your vehicle, so you'll be back at the pump sooner.
