KIRKSVILLE, MO --

For Friday’s Facebook Story of the day many of you wanted to know more about getting to the NEMO fair and the parking situation.

With this being the first year of the new Highway 63 Bypass for the NEMO Fair, KTVO talked to some of the board members on what their thoughts are for getting to the fairgrounds and if the parking situation is going to be any different. Most of them said that they expect it to be about the same as last year. In fact, it could make things a little easier.

“Parking is going to be just like it’s always been. It will be in the back part of the fairgrounds. If you come in on Highway 11, you are going to have to take Hollis Way to the back of the grounds. For people familiar with town, the best thing is going to be to come Jamison and across Patterson and into the back of the grounds. But we will have signage up directing people to the fairgrounds,” said NEMO Fair Board President Alan Whittom.

MODOT will have flashing signs up warning drivers of the event and reminding people to slow down during the additional traffic.

Parking is free and the NEMO Fair runs July 16-21. For more information on the fair, click here.
