QUEEN CITY, MO -- The beat goes on despite the heat at the 26th Annual Bluegrass Festival.
The festival featured the Heartland's own Rhonda Vincent and her band, The Rage. Her parents hosted the festival, being held in their Sally Mountain Park, three miles west of Queen City, Mo.
It began July 4 and ends July 8 with a gospel show at 9:30 a.m. More than half a dozen bands performed and bluegrass fans from as far as Canada camped out and enjoyed the good ol' foot stompin' music!
"We got some die hard bluegrassers as you can see that's out here watching the show and mingling with people," said Carolyn Vincent, Rhonda Vincent's mother and owner of Sally Mountain Park. "It's just like a homecoming. People come and they meet their brothers and sisters or friends from different places that they've talked to on the computer or on Facebook."
Rhonda Vincent's new gospel CD was also on sale during the concert.
