Drunk driving leads to ATV accident at Summer Redneck Games

NEAR ADAIR, MISSOURI -- A La Plata man is injured in an ATV accident, after allegedly driving drunk during the Summer Redneck Games.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 40-year-old Jerry Stanford received moderate injuries in the accident. It happened around 8:20 p.m Saturday evening on private property on Oak Grove Way, two miles south of Adair, Mo. 

Troopers said the ATV overturned, after Stanford lost control of it.

He was transported by Adair County Ambulance to Northeast Regional Medical Center and then arrested just before midnight for driving while intoxicated. 

The patrol said Stanford has been released from custody.
