KIRKSVILLE, MO. -- Barrel Bob is quite the celebrity around Kirksville. So much so, that MoDOT has scheduled a photo shoot with him for Thursday. Children and adults alike are encouraged to come out and spend some time with Bob while learning a little about safety.

“We are having an event from 10 a.m. to noon where individuals can come meet Barrel Bob, get their pictures taken with him, and we will have some safety handouts. We are encouraging individuals to park at the Shrine Club building and walk up to the area Barrel Bob is at. Just come out, see what he’s about and get your picture taken with him,” said MoDOT North Engineer Amy Crawford.

Other reminders and goodies about slowing down in work zones will also be given out. Barrel Bob will be around town for the next few weeks reminding drivers to take it easy in work zones.
