ELDON, IOWA -- Sunday was the final day of the Wapello County Fair in Eldon.
The Beef Show was Sunday afternoon and many hopeful contestants were in the competition.
Fair Board members said each day was packed, despite the rain.
The only actual rainout at the fair was the Motocross race. The race was supposed to be Friday but was rescheduled for Sunday. However, the track was still to wet on Sunday and had to be cancelled.
“We had a pretty good week. We knew it was dry going in and we knew if anything could make it rain it would be the County Fair. That always seems to bring the rain here. But we were able to get the music show in last night so that went real well. It was a little muddy track but people were understanding. We had a good turnout for that -- two good performances,” said Kristy Ostrander, Wapello County Fair Board member.
The two performers Saturday night were country artists Hunter Hayes and Kip Moore.
