Members of the graduating class Alex Gookin and Mukun Martin were the commencement speakers at the ceremony. They delivered an entertaining speech reminiscing about their high school days.

KTVO caught up with a couple of the graduates and Fairfield Community School District’s Superintendent, Art Sathoff.

“Oh, I’m going off to college and live the dream,” said Cody Kool, Fairfield High School graduate.

“Every year I was like ‘well that’s one more year down under my belt -- just got five more, four more, three more’ and then it's finally here. I'm just really, really excited,” said Colton Kurtz, Fairfield High School graduate.

“This is one certainly that has excelled very well in many different areas: athletics, and music, and drama, and academically. I believe we have six 4.0 students -- a number of great scholarships. So it's been a really fun class to go through,” said Superintendent Sathoff.

Once again, congratulations to all of the 2012 graduates in the Heartland!
