An inside look at the house behind American Gothic

ELDON, IOWA -- Wednesday morning, KTVO got an exclusive look inside the house behind Grant Wood's famous painting, American Gothic.

The house, which is not open for tours, is owned by the Iowa State Historical Society and operated by Wapello County.

Holly Berg, the administrator of the American Gothic House Center, conducted the tour.

In the coming weeks, the American Gothic House Center and the City of Eldon will be celebrating American Gothic Days.

From June 8th - 10th, the community comes together to celebrate everything that is American Gothic.

June 9th - 5k Walk/Run
June 9th-10th Art Contest
June 10th Bike Ride
