Two facing multiple drug charges

MACON, MO. -- Update:

According to the macon police department, Jacoby kelly, 23, of macon, turned himself in Tuesday evening.

He was released after posting bond and awaits his court date. 

 

 

Two northeast Missouri residents are facing drug charges after an anonymous tip to authorities.
   
Amanda Kelly, 42, of Macon, is charged with two counts of intent to distribute a controlled substance, one count of tampering with evidence and one count of unlawful use of drug paraphernalia.
   
Also charged is Amanda Kelly's nephew, Jacoby Kelly, 23, also of Macon. He is charged with two counts of intent to distribute a controlled substance and one count of unlawful use of drug paraphernalia.
    
According to court papers, Macon police went to a residence in the 100 block of East 5th street, after receiving a tip that drugs were being sold out of the home. While conducting a consent search of the home, officers discovered several baggies with a white substance which field tested positive for cocaine.

While the search was underway Amanda Kelly attempted to hide a purple bag under her shirt. When police searched the bag they found four baggies of what proved to be marijuana. Also found at the residence were several Oxycontin pills.
   
Amanda Kelly is being held in the Randolph County Jail under $46,000 bond.

Meanwhile Jacoby Kelly remains at large.
