AGENCY, IOWA -- Update: Wapello County Sheriff Don Kirkendall has released the name of the victim involved in Saturday's death investigation near Agency. The victim is 23 year-old Lisa Techel. In a news release, Kirkendall said that autopsy results are pending and the death investigation is ongoing.
The Wapello County Sheriff’s Office and the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation are conducting a death investigation near Agency.
The Sheriff’s Office said they received a 911 call for help at 5:23 a.m. Saturday, stating a person may have been shot.
The incident happened in the 8700 block of Fox Hills Road southwest of Agency.
KTVO talked to one of the neighbors that lives just down the road where the alleged shooting took place.
“One of the neighbors called and said there was a possible murder in the neighborhood of a pregnant woman that was about 20,” said Brian Kendalltate.
At this time, the Sheriff’s Office has not released the identity of the victim or any other details regarding the shooting. We will keep you updated as we get more information.
