Threats with a knife put one behind bars

KIRKSVILLE, MISSOURI -- An incident involving a knife, lands a Kirksville man in jail facing multiple felony charges. 

Brian Johnson, 21, is charged with armed criminal action, felonious restraint and domestic assault as a result of the incident. 

Police were called to a residence Saturday afternoon concerning an incident involving a knife.

According to court papers, Johnson held the victim down with his body, while holding a knife in a threatening manner according to a witness. Johnson also allegedly choked the victim during the incident. Police found a knife with a five inch blade, believed to be used in the incident. 

Johnson is being held in the Adair County Jail under $100,000 cash only bond.
