ATLANTA, MO -- Students at Atlanta’s C-3 School got to be scientist on Tuesday at the annual science fair. Fifth and sixth grade students performed their projects while seeing if it matched their hypothesis. After the experiment, students came up with a final conclusion and presented their results to teachers and students. All of this helps the students put the scientific method to use with hands on experience.

“It’s the fifth and sixth grade science fair. We have about 34 students here today and are hopes fro them are to learn the scientific process. So they go through each step in their projects and they have a testable question where they get the experiment and see if their conclusion ends up being the same,” says sixth grade teacher Christina Christensen.

Christensen says this year was another success and that it is good to see the students so eager about their projects. She says it is a great way to prepare them for the future in whatever path they may take.

There were a wide variety of experiments presented ranging from bubbling dry ice, to what makes an egg float, best fertilizers, and even which brand of popcorn pops the most kernels.

Att the end of the day, all the presentations were evaluated and judges awarded trophies to the top three in each grade.
