KIRKSVILLE, MISSOURI -- A northeast Missouri woman has entered a guilty plea in connection with a drug bust.

Monica Wadel, 45, of Greentop entered the plea to one count of conspiracy to distribute a controlled substance. The charge was in connection with drug sales out of the Travelers building in downtown Kirksville.

Wadel was sentenced to a suspended imposition of sentence and was placed on three years probation.

Earlier, Wadel's mother, Nancy Wadel, 68, of Kirksville, also entered a guilty plea; she was sentenced to four years probation. The pair pleaded to being involved in selling prescription pills out of Nancy Wadel’s apartment.
