CENTERVILLE, IOWA -- An elderly Centerville man has entered a plea on a prostitution charge.

He was a candidate for Centerville City Council when he was arrested after police received a complaint alleging he had offered to perform sex acts on a woman in exchange for repayment of a loan.

Dawson adamantly denied the charges a few days later in an exclusive interview with KTVO.

He is scheduled to be sentenced on May 11 at 9 a.m.
