BLAKESBURG, IOWA -- The Wapello County Sheriff's Office confirmed with KTVO Saturday, that an early Friday morning accident just south of Blakesburg, Iowa took the life of a Heartland woman.
According to the sheriff's office, deputies responded to a single-vehicle accident around 6:30 a.m. Friday morning on south 40th Street south of Blakesburg, Iowa.
The sheriff's office says that the driver of the vehicle, Courtney Sheffler, 20, of Blakesburg, died as a result of her injuries.

At 6:37 a.m., Friday, April 27th, the Wapello County Sheriff's Office responded to an accident on the 24000 block of 40th St., south of Blakesburg. Upon arrival of emergency personnel, a single vehicle accident was discovered. Courtney Sheffler, 20, of rural Blakesburg, the driver of the vehicle, died as a result of the injuries she sustained.
