Crash involving farm tractor injures one

GIBBS, MISSOURI -- A Northeast Missouri man is rushed to the hospital following an accident Wednesday night. 

According the Missouri State Highway Patrol the accident happened on Route V just one mile north of Gibbs. 

Jack Thomas of Gibbs, 71, was driving his tractor when Alven Campbell, 75, of LaPlata crossed the center line and struck Thomas' front tire. 

That caused Campbell’s vehicle slide sideways and striking a trailer towed by Thomas' tractor. Campbell’s vehicle ran off the roadway and into a ditch. Alven Campbell was taken to the hospital.
