MACON, MO. -- A Macon man remains behind bars after police said he admitted to violating his probation.
According to the Macon County Sheriff's Office, 30-year-old David Ahrens has been charged with felony unlawful use of weapon, and misdemeanor resisting arrest and trespassing in the first degree, along with probation violation on a felony case.
According to court documents, Macon police officers were responding to a call on the 100 block of North Buckhart Street. While there, they were alerted that Ahrens had jumped out of a rear window of a residence.
When police contacted the owner of the home, the documents state that the owner said Ahrens was not supposed to be there and that they wanted him charged with trespassing.
When police caught up with Ahrens after he fled the scene, they said they found in his possession "throwing knives". Once in custody, and after failing a urine test mandated due to him being on probation, police said Ahrens admitted to having used marijuana, cocaine, and meth within the past two weeks.
Ahrens remains in the Macon County Jail on a $19,000 cash-only-bond.
