Historic landmarks to receive recognition

KIRKSVILLE, MO. -- Several local historic landmarks are set to receive recognition.

The owners of the five buildings being awarded will receive plaques after the Kirksville Historic Preservation Commission meeting on April 4. The award presentation for each landmark will take place at the property location.

The award presentations include the following:

3:00 p.m.- The Grim Building, 113 E. Washington; owner Bob Giovaninni

3:20 p.m. - Pickler's Famous, 114 W. Harrison; owners Todd and Bich Kuhns

3:40 p.m. - Spencer/Selby House, 316 N. Franklin; owner Dr. Henry Wisdom

4:00 p.m. - McGovern House, 415 E. Washington; owners Stephen and Cynthia Willcox

4:20 p.m. - Forest Llewellyn Cemetery, 201 N. Centennial; owner City of Kirksville 

Residents are invited to attend the Historic Preservation Commission meeting which will starts at 2:30 p.m. followed by the award presentations.
