JEFFERSON CITY, MISSOURI -- The recommendation on reinstatement of law license for a Kirksville man is back and the news for him is not good. 

The Office of the Chief Disciplinary Council has filed its report and recommendation to the Missouri Supreme Court regarding the law license of Seth Shumaker. The council says it is its opinion that Shumaker's application for reinstatement be denied. 

The Supreme Court suspended Shumaker’s license for six months back in January of last year for what was termed violation of certain "rules of professional conduct.” 

Prior to his suspension, Shumaker's law practice was housed in this office in Kirksville. 

Shumaker filed for reinstatement last September, after which the Office of Chief Disciplinary Council conducted a full investigation, which led to its recommendation that Shumaker's license not be reinstated. 

Shumaker’s attorney, Danieal Miller of Columbia, filed a response to the report, saying that Shumaker "truly regrets his violations of the disciplinary code and the resulting effects they have had on the legal profession." 

There is no indication when the Supreme Court might make its decision.
