QUEEN CITY, MO -- Student athletes at Schuyler County R-1 Schools got their checkups during Wednesday's "Hoofs and Horns" Sports Physicals event.

The free sports physicals included a variety of physical examinations based on the requirements of the Missouri State High School Activities Association.

But the event went even further; it included cardiology screening.

It's believed to be the only cardiac ultrasound screening conducted anywhere in Missouri on high school athletes and students.

This was the seventh year for the Hoofs and Horns Sports Physicals conducted by Scotland County Hospital.
