FAIRFIELD, IOWA -- A very special watch party was held Sunday night at the Sondheim Center for the Performing Arts. There wasn’t one empty seat in the theatre.

Hundreds of people showed up to watch the premiere of the Oprah Winfrey Network’s (OWN) “Next Chapter” which features Fairfield as one of the most unusual towns.

“Because we are so unique in that we have thousands of people here who practice the same meditation program,” says one Fairfield resident named Ciella.

Those that showed up to watch the show weren’t surprised that Oprah chose to feature the city of Fairfield.

“Well the TM program is something that seems to be affecting celebrities all over the world right now. There are people going around initiating people into the program all over the world, literally,” said Terry Allan, whom also showed up to watch the show.

It was quite the site to see so many Fairfield residents show up Sunday night to show their love and support for their city.
