ATLANTA, MO -- An Atlanta, Missouri man, who entered a guilty plea to a felony count of stealing, has avoided jail time.

Michael Combs, 42, had admitted to stealing more than $50,000.00 from Novelty Feed and Seed, between November of 2007 and august of 2009, while he was the manager.

Circuit Judge Russell Steel sentenced Combs to five years in prison with the execution of the sentence suspended. Combs was placed on five years probation and required to pay restitution of $22,000.00 to the business.

While on probation Combs is subject to normal conditions, including random drug and alcohol tests and warrantless searches.
