OPD searching for Sonic robbery suspect

OTTUMWA, IOWA -- Ottumwa Police are searching for an armed robbery suspect.

A female car hop at the Sonic Drive-In was robbed around 9:45 Monday night.

The armed suspect, took all of the cash the car hop had on her person.

OPD did not say what sort of weapon the suspect used.

Officers responded to the scene but did not make an arrest.

Ottumwa Police Chief Jim Clark described the suspect for KTVO.

"We (OPD) are asking the public's help in trying to identify the person who committed the robbery, he's described as a white male, 5'5-5'7, average build with dirty blonde goatee and mustache and believed to be blue eyes," Clark said.
