COLUMBIA, MO. -- U.S. Cellular, in conjunction with its partner, King Street Wireless, announced that Adair County residents will be among the next customers to experience high-speed 4G LTE services. The communities in Adair County that will benefit from this network enhancement include Kirksville, Danforth, Brashear, Bullion, Fegley, Gibbs, Clay, Millard, Willmathsville, Yarrow Youngstown, Novinger, Sperry and Sublette. With the addition of 4G LTE speeds in the second half of 2012, Adair County residents will enjoy an enhanced wireless experience with countless entertainment possibilities and ways to help simplify and organize their lives.

Customers will enjoy faster web browsing and speedy app downloads with access to 4G LTE speeds that are up to 10 times faster than 3G and similar to a cable Internet connection. 4G LTE speeds allow customers to begin watching a movie in seconds, enjoy smoother video streaming with little to no buffering and experience seamless video chatting with family or business colleagues.

4G LTE devices will be available in all U.S. Cellular stores beginning with the Samsung Galaxy Tab™ 10.1 in March, so customers can purchase the 4G LTE devices when they want them and use them on U.S. Cellular’s 3G network, and receive all of the benefits of 4G LTE speeds when it comes to their area. The Samsung Galaxy S® Aviator smartphone and the Samsung 4G LTE Mobile Hotspot will follow the launch of the Samsung Galaxy Tab™ this spring, and additional devices will be available throughout the rest of the year.

“With 4G LTE speeds, you can quickly get what you want when you need it,” said Nathan Waddell, director of sales for U.S. Cellular in Missouri. “Whether you’re trying to check the score of the game or download a movie to watch while riding on the Megabus, you’ve got it at your fingertips – faster than ever. We’re committed to delivering products and services that simplify and enhance our customers’ daily lives, and that’s why we’re excited to bring 4G LTE to so many Adair County customers.”

By the end of 2012, 54 percent of customers will be able to enjoy 4G LTE speeds, with additional markets slated to receive 4G LTE including select cities in Iowa, Illinois, Maryland, New Hampshire, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Oregon, Tennessee, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, West Virginia and Wisconsin, as well as additional cities in Missouri.

The 4G LTE network builds on current 3G data services on U.S. Cellular's nationwide network.
