MEADVILLE, MO. -- A north central Missouri man with dementia missing since Thursday was found dead Friday morning in a field.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol and the Linn County Sheriff's Office said Clyde E. Ware, 83, of Brookfield, was found dead in a field on Route W, south of Meadville, Mo, around 8:55 a.m. Friday.

Linn County Chief Deputy Sheriff Butch Eskew said a deputy and a Missouri State Highway Patrol trooper were called to what they thought was a car accident. When they got there, they said they found Ware laying near his car in the field.

Kenny Creason, the Linn County Coroner said there is no evidence of foul play, therefore an autopsy will not be performed. He said Ware died from natural causes.
