Kirksville man charged with intent to distribute

KIRKSVILLE, MO. -- A tip from a previous drug investigation lands one person behind bars.
 
Scott Myers, 22, of Kirksville is charged with intent to distribute the controlled substance, marijuana and a misdemeanor count of unlawful use of drug paraphernalia, after officers from the Drug Task Force, Kirksville Police Department, the Adair County Sheriff's Office and the Missouri State Highway Patrol served a search warrant at Myers' residence.

According to court papers, officers seized nearly two ounces of marijuana in the bust.                         
   
They discovered seven baggies of pot, two sets of digital scales, a marijuana grinder and a ledger sheet at the residence in the 300 block of South High Street.
    
Myers is being held in the Adair County Jail under $75,000 cash only bond.
