BONAPARTE, IOWA -- A one-year-old female child was airlifted to the University of Iowa to be treated after she fell out of a second story window Thursday.
According to the Van Buren County Sheriff's Office, the report about the child came at 11:48 Thursday morning. The incident occurred at a residence in Bonaparte, Iowa and both the child's parents were present in the home.
The child was first taken to the Van Buren County Hospital, and later airlifted to the University of Iowa. The extent of the child's injures are still unknown.
The incident is being investigated by the Van Buren County Sheriff's Office, as well as the Iowa Department of Human Services.
