MACON, COUNTY, MO. -- A Macon man accused of a shooting incident in La Plata, Mo. last year has been granted a change of venue in his case.
Michael Adkins, 22, is facing felony charges of armed criminal action, unlawful use of a weapon and first degree property damage.
Macon County Sheriff’s deputies were called to a home in the 300 block of Gex Street in La Plata the morning of May 6th. Following an investigation, officers were able to determine that a high powered rifle was used to shoot at and through the residence that was occupied. No one was injured during the incident.
Adkins was taken into custody without incident at his residence in La Plata following the investigation.
The trial for Adkins has been moved from Macon County to Shelby County on the change of venue. His next court date is set for April 5th.
