SHELBY COUNTY, MO. -- A former school cook from northeast Missouri is accused of sex crimes involving an underage victim.

Angela Proper, 39, of Shelbina is charged with statutory sodomy and two counts of second-degree statutory rape in Shelby County.

A source told KRES Radio that Proper had been employed at South Shelby High School by a food service agency, but she's no longer employed by that company.

Investigators said the alleged incidents did not happen on school grounds.

Court documents state that Proper admitted to the 2011 crimes.

She is free after posting bond. Proper is set to be in court on February 24.
