Investigators say a Iowa business owner who vanished two weeks ago has been found alive in Texas.

The Washington County Sheriff's Office says that

Sharon Hopf, 45, of Crawfordsville, Iowa has been located in Texas and "is

safe with family." The office said it would release more details

Wednesday afternoon.

Hopf had been the subject of an intense search after she failed

to show up for work at the home furnishings company she co-owns

with her husband on January 5. Her car was found at an abandoned home

outside of St. Louis two days later.

Investigators said last week they believed she disappeared on

her own to get away from family and work stress. Her husband, Perry

Hopf, had pleaded with her at a news conference to call home.
