MOBERLY, MO. -- An overnight standoff in Moberly ends with one person in custody.

Moberly Police said they were called to investigate a report of an assault late Wednesday night. As officers were talking to the victim, the alleged suspect, Trey Midgyett, 26, of St. Louis, ran into an apartment and locked the door.

Midgyett had a warrant from Randolph County for assault and a Probation and Parole warrant out of St. Louis.

The Moberly Tactical Team was activated and at 1:30 a.m. Thursday, the team entered the apartment and arrested the suspect inside the apartment, where they found him trying to hide under a pile of clothing.

Moberly Police were assisted by the Randolph County Sheriff's Office, the Missouri State Highway Patrol and the Randolph County Ambulance District.
