KIRKSVILLE, MO. -- Update: 9:12 p.m.
Debra Bramlett, 53, of Kirksville, has been charged with first degree domestic assault in the incident that involved a knife. She is being held in the Adair County Jail, under a $50,000 cash only bond.
According to court documents, Kirksville police were called to a residence in the 1300 block of N. Green Street just after 4:30 p.m. Thursday. A fight over a bicycle had reportedly resulted in the victim being cut across the face during the fight.
Court papers state that when Bramlett arrived at the Adair County Jail, she told the staff that she was considering committing suicide. At that point, she was taken to the hospital for a mental evaluation. She later left the hospital without medical permission and went back to the Green Street residence, where she allegedly used a large black handled butcher knife to threaten the victim again.
Bramlett was then taken into custody again and transported to the Adair County Jail.

Kirksville police were called out to investigate a domestic dispute that turned violent.
The incident took place around 4:30 Thursday afternoon in a residence on the 1300 block of Green Street in Kirksville.
According to police, a woman was fighting with her live-in boyfriend over a bike.
Officers say the dispute turned violent when the woman took out a knife and cut her boyfriend on his nose.
The boyfriend refused treatment at the scene.
As for the woman, she was taken in and questioned by police.
Charges have not been filed at this time.
