DES MOINES, IOWA -- KTVO has learned that lawyers for the Hexam Invest Trust have claimed the winning lottery ticket.
Officials with the Iowa Lottery now know that the trust is managed by New York Attorney Crawford Shaw.
At this time, they don't know if Shaw is the actually winner of the ticket, or just a representative of the true winner.
The jackpot will not be paid until the Iowa Lottery has been able to complete the security process for a jackpot win.
A $1 million ticket sold in Ottumwa in September remains unclaimed.
However, a $16.5 million Hot Lotto ticket has been turned in, less than two hours before it was to have expired.
The ticket was purchased Dec. 29, 2010, at a convenience store in Des Moines. It was to have expired at 4 p.m. Thursday.

Iowa Lottery officials say an attorney from a Des Moines law firm representing a trust brought in the ticket Thursday. The ticket was signed by a trustee, but lottery officials say the members of the trust and the buyer of the ticket remain unknown. Lottery officials say they have not met the actual winners and the prize money has not been paid out.
